Please Pray

I received word last weekend from Compassion International that my sponsored child’s home in Haiti was completely destroyed by the hurricanes this summer.  They lost everything.  Please be praying for Enold and his family.  When I visited there six years ago, I found out that the father, William, is a Pastor who walks 4 1/2 hours every weekend to the church he ministers in.  I’m assuming that many lost their homes in this community.  Please be praying for these families.

  1. We also have a dear child in Haiti and will be praying for your Enold.

  2. Juli – I am praying through the prayer lists for each Compassion Country Office’s requests. I have added Enold and his family to the list for Haiti.

  3. Oohhh, Juli. I will continue my prayers for them. They have been on my thoughts and prayers since I read about the problems on Compassion’s home page. I will remember to also specifically pray for Enold and his family.

  4. What’s interesting is that I think my prayers are way after the fact — since, as I recall, the hurricanes were in August and September. God was already there, well before I knew anything about the devastation. He’s able to do so much more than we could ever ask or imagine. And — in His amazing way — He’s also able to listen to (and answer) “late” prayers!

  5. Heartbreaking. I’ll pray for the child, their family and you. By the grace of God they are blessed by there relationship with Compassion through you, so they have some very dedicated people looking out for them.

    Blessed by you.

  6. I’m sorry to hear this news. Bless you for claiming these people as your brothers and sisters.

  7. In prayer!
