I never thought I could make a quilt, but here it is. I’m not a seamstress by any stretch of the imagination. My mother was a master quilt-maker, and so is my sister. I’ve always enjoyed looking at fabrics, and this time I decided to give quilting a try. I’m so pleased with it, and although it’s a Christmas one, I think I’ll keep it on the kitchen railing for a while.
I honestly thought I would hate sewing the pieces together, but I actually enjoyed it. Wonder of wonders. I had commissioned my sister to make another large quilt for our bed — even bought the fabric and sent it to her. After she saw a photo of this, she suggested I make my own larger quilt (with a little help from her). So — that’s what we’re going to do. But don’t expect to see the large quilt for several months!
And while you’re here, make sure you check out these “Sewing Mamas.”

Well, Zach — It make take a lifetime to make the next one we’ve planned. And it’s covered with florals — not sure if you’d like it.
Way to Go!!!!
Can you make me one?!?!
