Beside the Still Waters

If You Build They Will Come

I have been so inspired by the photos of the relief efforts in the Philippines.  Obviously, in this series the church members have gone out into the community on a medical mission following the December typhoon.  First, they loaded up the car, which is obviously much too small.  One of the items on the top of Pastor Jay’s prayer list right now is a larger vehicle for moving people and supplies.  I can see why.

Here they are setting up a temporary shelter for medical treatment.

Obviously, if you build a medical tent in the middle of a typhoon disaster, the people will come — people with serious injuries and needs.  Mothers and fathers concerned for the health of their children.

I’ve been so blessed to see this church reaching out to others in need.  If you’d like, you can make a contribution to this ministry through Compassion International and join others in this vital effort today.
