I am pleased to support Willy Ouma’s ministry in Uganda — Give Hope Ministries.
Willy is a formerly sponsored Compassion child who qualified for the Leadership Development Program, which supported him through college. He majored in Social Work in his home country of Uganda. Then, as a Moody Scholar, he attended classes at Moody Bible College for a couple of years. While in the states, he was interviewed by my friend, Kees, about what the letters from his sponsor meant to him.
The interview mentioned that Willy had worked as a Project Director after his own sponsorship ended, while in college. Another thing that happened at that time was that Willy began to take orphans into his home to care for them, having been an orphan as a young child himself. Willy’s dream of helping orphans keeps growing, and you’re going to see what I mean this week as we follow his dreams with him. Apparently relationship is a key ingredient for children of all ages.
