Blogging from Kenya

Here’s something I’m really looking forward to — hearing from the Compassion Bloggers in Kenya next week (March 4-11).  Here is a link to one of those bloggers — Brad Ruggles. I’ve enjoyed his blog for a long time, and can’t wait to see what he says on this awesome journey! I have a girl I sponsor in Kenya, so I’m particularly interested in following their reports. Won’t you join me in taking a little time each morning to read about their experiences?

What we need in our busy, distracted lives is to walk in the footsteps of another for just a few moments each day. What is it like to raise children without adequate food, clean water or health care? What is it like to see the love of a sponsor, far away from you, taking an interest in your child — writing, praying, supporting? What kinds of personalities do the children in Kenya have, and what are their greatest needs, fears and desires? And what is Compassion doing to make a difference in these precious little ones’ lives? These are some of the questions I know will be answered as I read all the blog posts next week. I can hardly wait.
