I spent a day with Jeremy in Denver recently. We attended worship services at this church in the morning and a concert there in the afternoon. This is the oldest church in the city — Trinity United Methodist — established in 1859. It’s a beautiful church inside and out. I love the stained glass windows, which are brown and amber in color, and it has beautiful woodwork throughout. Perhaps you can see some of the interior at the website link above.
It was also good to see the Colorado state capitol, which has been covered with scaffolding for over a year. It’s finally finished!
One of the unique facts about the capitol is that the steps outside have a mark at the mile-high mark. Or rather, I should say they have three sites that mark where the altitude is one mile above sea level. That’s because the engineers keep re-adjusting the mark as technology changes.
It was great spending some time with Jeremy, even if only for a few hours. We were so glad to have a beautiful day to wander around downtown together!
