Government Band

It’s always interesting to step inside a cathedral and see all the beautiful artwork.

We had a peak into the crypt.

When we came outside we saw a lot of guards near the church.

We went walking and came across some other interesting scenes.  Here are some of the other smaller churches.

When we got back to the square we could see the large Presidential palace.

Now we knew why there was so much security — there was a band playing and some kind of ceremonial event under way.  Crowds of people had shown up.

We think we may have seen the President of Peru.  At any rate, it’s a lovely city to tour.
