Peruvian Views

One of our goals in Peru was to see Machu Picchu, so we flew to Cusco to tour the region.  I had read that you can get personal taxis at the airport that would take you closer to the ancient site, and stop at various sites along the way.  That’s exactly what we did, and we didn’t have to book ahead.  We hired Jorge (relatively inexpensively) to take us to Ollantaytambo, where we would spend the next two nights.  Along the way, he took us through a beautiful countryside and stopped at various ruins and sites that were incredible to see.

We really loved seeing Peru up close and stopped often for photos, which you can’t do, of course, if you take the bus or train.
