While on safari in Kenya it was very exciting when elephants showed up, as you can imagine.
We saw them at various places and it was always a stunning sight!
We also went to the Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary. They provide lifelong refuge to orphaned and abused chimpanzees in West and Central Africa. It was interesting to see some of them, especially how they related to each other and to their caregivers.
One of them was using a thorn from this bush to groom himself.
Another was on the other side of a water ditch from us but quickly put his hand out to beg for a treat when he saw us with his caregiver. He was pretty funny to watch.
